Final Poster Design
So I finally finished my poster design and have printed it out A2 size. I worked in Photoshop which was really a great exprience because I feel you learn so much more through doing something . I'm happy with the final poster and I really enjoyed the overall process. The Staple leant itself to some really fun and interesting things, such as the type , so it was an overall fun project brief. It's the last few days of college so everything is winding down a bit...I've loved my first year in LSAD and I'm so happy to be in Vis Comm, looking forward to the next three years !!

Poster ideas
Over the weekend I was experimenting with different poster ideas and playing around with the staples. It was a busy weekend for me ( they always are !! ) so I mainly got the typography and a few thumbnails done. I also did a few pages of my sketchbook ... that takes me longer because I always want to go back and do more to a page! I don't have a strap line yet but I think this will come to me when I finally decide on my final poster design !
Here is the alphabet I made......I 'll post the images of the rest of my work soon !

New project brief..... Celebration of the everyday object : Staple
The 'Tea' project finished about two weeks ago and is now on display in the college. Here are the photos of the final exhibition of the 'creative alphabet' ....
I really loved this project and intend to keep the teacups and teabags once the project is done......my friends and family want to scrutinise the cups for their own little sayings or stories :-)
The new project is about creating a poster to celebrate an everyday object that we more than likely take for granted. ...my object is the staple. I'm after spending the last two weeks researching the staple and drawing thumbnail sketches. This is just a sample of my work for now ( now that we're over our art history essay and exam I feel I can give this project 100 per cent of my time again) I intend to do a lot of work this weekend, I really want to do some 3D word and investigations....... So come Monday hopefully I'll have some interesting photos to upload :-) But even after last night and today giving my time solely to the staple I feel like I've already more ideas and concepts for the project !
Here's a sample of what I've been thinking about....
