After the Easter Holidays .....

I really enjoyed the Easter holidays, it was two very nice (but busy) weeks! While keeping my sketchbook going , I was also thinking of ideas for my final 3D type.... I came up with a few things and made them as prototypes ( in a rather rough way) . It really is a lot of fun, I love typography but  I'm almost sick of the sight of teabags :-D ! My family thought I was crazy, saving every last used teabag and drying them on radiators around the house for the week.......I discovered we are devote tea drinkers...like the rest of the nation I'm sure!

Detailed deconstruction of a teabag !

These were mini 't's I made using clay and 'painted' with teabag stain. This was just a fun, quirky way to display them. I bought a few second hand teacups so I wanted the chance to use them ! I'm still considering breaking them up and using them somehow.....

I liked the idea of switching the teabag for the letter 't'......I think these strings are too long but this is easily worked on !

Tea leaves in a cup

I liked the idea of speech bubbles because one of the ideas I wanted to get across is how a cup of tea really opens up a conversation or starts a discussion.....It's also a go-to problem-solver that's far cheaper than therapy !

This is made purely of teabags and glue. It's about one weeks worth of teabags and something I kept adding to for the week. It's wider than it looks here and heavier than you'd think !

Made with clay and covered with fluffy socks.... I kept making the connection between comfort and tea so this was really just a bit of fun !

Experimenting with different styles of teabags.....

This week I'm going to have to decide which I think works the best and make it properly .
