The typography brief is over , the creative alphabet is finished! Hundreds of tea-conversations later and countless tea leaves I finished my letter last Friday. I created 22 t-shaped tea bags. To convey my concept that tea is a conversation starter and a huge part of our daily lives , I covered 12 teacups ( the legit old-fashioned, from-your-granny's-best-china-cabinet, found-in-a-thrift-shop , chipped kind ) , 4 saucers and a teacup in snippets of conversation and phrases. All the type came from honest conversations or chats held over a cuppa. I even delved into past memories...lunchtime chats with my school friends, tea and biscuits at my grandparents, philosophical talks at 4 in the morning, brunch in a cafe etc. Almost everyone close to me featured in some way ! Because of this the project is very personal to me . Also I'm not impartial to a nice, sugary cup of tea.....and after almost 5 weeks of deconstructing teabags and frantically writing down supposedly 'private' conversations (I don't name and shame!) , I'm still in love with the stuff ! So I definitely enjoyed this brief !

I will post the final display of both parts together and fully completed !
Our new brief is a poster design to celebrate an everyday object...my object is 'Staple'. I have been researching and drawing thumbnails so far this week. It's going to really stretch my mind, I think, but I like the challenge!
